Question: What made you do this shoot?
Answer: Well I started with prayer. God gave me the vision and I ran with it. I wanted to show the world that black love is beautiful. I wanted to show the younger generation that we can be classy and still have fun. That we as women don't have to show all to obtain the attention of a real man, and I wanted our young men to see that being a gentleman doesn't make them weak. So many times media portrays black love as non-existent. Society... says that black men are afraid of commitment and that black women can't submit. The couple captured in these photos breaks those stereotypes. I have been privileged to see them grow in their love over the last 9 years. To say that they are #lovegoals is an understatement. They have personally given me hope in knowing that real love does exists and though it is not perfect it is indeed obtainable.
Hey yall hey!
It’s been a few weeks since my last blog so I figured I would get one done today before I got too busy.
Today we are going to talk about connection. It is very important as a photographer that I not only connect with my clients but that my clients connect with the camera. The best connections happen when both client and photographer are comfortable with one another. As your photographer it is my duty to make sure that you are not only comfortable with me and the camera, but you also have to be comfortable with your surroundings. It is my desire to give each and every client exactly what they are looking for. In order to do that I have to get to know each client. I sometimes have to ask questions like:
1. what vision do you have for your session
2. What’s a memory you have that makes you smile from the inside out
3.Are you camera shy.....and so on
Knowing each client’s helps me to gain a better idea of how to capture the moments that mean the most to them. It’s always a blessing being able to see a person’s inner extrovert develop right before my eyes. The most important thing to remember is that each client is different. Just because something worked well for one client does not mean with will work well with another. The key to producing amazing photos is connection!
Hello everyone, (inserts waving hands), my name is Deidra Jackson and I am the owner and operator of MikaBrie Photography. It is my goal to not just take great pictures, but to create lasting memories. I love to have fun therefore I want my clients to have fun during their sessions. Living Life behind the lense is definitely a great privilege. Being able to see the confidence of a client develop is a priceless thing. Whether it is a simple birthday party or an elegant event, it is my desire to produce the best product possible for each and every client. Thank you to those who have trusted me thus far with your photos. I look forward to working with you all in the near future.
Lets see where do I start??? MikaBrie is a combination of my daughters first and middle names. So it seemed only right to name my business after her since she has been my inspiration. I have found that photography allows me to slow down and capture the beauty of each moment. It is my desire to make sure that after every session I have my clients leave feeling empowered. I love to have fun and be goofy on occasion and I love for that to show in the pictures that I take.
The Photo that started it all!
